You know, like the Spyderco folding one but I want thicker liners and better blade steel! Please let me know!

The day ban starts making folders, the world will be a better place. I can picture a titanium frame lock with a sick looking blade! Frosty finish to his stupid sharp edge.
 
Not really in a position to start making folders just yet. Have a few orders that I need to fill first before I even start thinking about a folder project. Want to get my ducks lined up first.....I really want to do it right.
 
Also I wonder about opening mechanism.

IMO the spyderco p'kal doesn't really need improving. this is not a knock on Ban at all. Sure if you just like having something tricked-out, go for it, but a LOT of thought went into that knife. If any changes are made, and it's not outright copied (again not saying Ban would do this), a lot of prototypes would be necessary. A LOT of prototypes.

And regarding "better" blade steel, I think s30v is plenty tough for the intended application, and actually has good edge holding too; I don't see the latter as even being necessary since it's kind of a "Use once in a lifetime" type knife, re: intended purpose.
 
Yep, the Spyderco P'kal is a pretty darn ideal folder. I carry one myself most nearly everyday.
