Can you make ugly knives and still be popular?

I line up with MercuryHaze on this question. IMHO Jerry Busse's knives have been fairly ugly in a decorational sense. (FWIW, I've impoverished myself a few times over buying Jerry's kind of "ugliness" and really like his knives a lot. ;) ) But all Jerry has to do is leak a rumor of some new design or model to his rabid following and those characters are slavering all over themselves like Pavlov's dogs to be first in line to buy one (or several) of whatever he has coming down the pipe. Consequently, his business can hardly keep up with demand. As a friend of mine said, "It's a marketer's dream come true!!" :D :D

good combat knives are hard to get in NZ,no double edges etc,Saw an EK
knife in a local outdoor shop and bought it,one ugly sucker!!!,has greathistory behind it though.

From what I have seen, the answer to your question golok, is yes. Then again, I guess it is only my opinion that these knives are ugly. I am sure that others think they look great.
