Can you name this sword, the designer and the maker?

Poor picture (for a reason), the "sword" in the middle was displayed on the cover of Tactical Knives decades ago. It sang to me, so I contacted the maker to get on his list. The business is no more and the designer has been quiet in the knife world. Can anyone identify the sword, the designer and maker? No prize, just recongnition of your modern sword knowledge :p

Don't know the knife blanks.
Don't know the leaf blade.
A guess is Paul Chen on the Japanese style blade.
Then Angus Trim
Then Del Tin
Then Arms and Armor and maybe two Del Tins? The Gothic sword was also done by Windows I think, but I am guessing Del Tin here...
The Falcon on maybe Angus Trim? I don't think Del Tin did one in that pattern but might be wrong.
The fraternal swords by various makers maybe, betting there is an Ames in there somewhere.

That's my quick guesses without looking to close or opening other websites.

Two of those Horstmann productions, the rest Ames, going back to the 1830s

The falchion was Glen Parell Conyers. I bought that from Eric McHugh. The knife blanks were Gus, shame on you, the leaf as well. The katana blade as well. One espada ropera was Del Tin, the other my very first modern reproduction from Windlass. The table shot with the big four were in a thread I titled; 'The Trouble with a GBS' Yes, two DT with the GBS and Conyers. A 2003 event that led to more than a dozen more.

My Del Tin 5160 example is a one off and not the production blade profile. This blade has more of a flattened hex and a rounded point. Probably originally ordered for bouting and a rabbit blunt on the point.

I sold the Windlass and had to have a replacement, so this was the result, off ebay for cheap. We may not see any more from Fulvio. I've the 5157 and 2132 as well

The lineup from Jay's 2003 could be hard to ID, at first glance. I'm not sure he ever forgave US for the mess. Always bus your own messes...

I'll make it easy

find the Erik Stevenson (that I should have owned)

extra points for a maker ID on the dirk (the table cover is actually a hint)

Wow just realized I got autocorrected all over the place. I thought that I vaguely remembered that the "fraternal swords" had gone to war at some point and only became regalia items post war when sword manufacturers found themselves at loose ends. I thought they had different pommels though. I thought the ones with the Knights heads were Knights of Pythias or Columbus or some such.

I should have remembered the Glen parrell piece. I knew De! Tin didn't seem right.

Certainly more Angus Trim then I remembered!

I heard that Fulvio was having trouble.

I think A&A Viking ax but the handle seems to be a bit lightly colored so maybe a custom piece? I think the three in the middle are by Kevin Cashen. ( a little suspicious of that leaf blade but i think he did it) I'm guessing the Dirk and mono steel on the end are his also.

Do you know if Hugh is still with us? I tried calling now and again over the last few years but never get him anymore.

Militia swords became a model for the fraternal swords. Different beasts. Same profile. They got real skinny after the ACW, when fraternities and military associations blossomed

I emailed Fulvio in January 2022. He was recovering from an arm injury and was to return to pumping out more but I see nothing new coming in now and what he had been selling off the site looked like old stock and rejected orders. There was mention that he had another ouchie and that was a couple of years ago.

Gus is still at it but winding down,

That is an A&A Dane axe, all four swords are Cashen (the plain one slicing that mat). The plain one is L6 and cut wara like butta... Dennis Boas&wife, who determined that the axe was hers :D 20 1/2> years ago 9/2005

The dirk is a Vince Evans (who uses a fishy for a mark).

I've not seen a post from Hugh, for decades. About that period, before 2010. Clyde Hollis is still around and vending his own swords, collaborating with Bruce Brookhart. Kingdom of Arms

Hugh was always looking for the perfect Musso Bowie from Clyde, and they made them for awhile under KoA but I don't see them listed anymore

The market has expanded so far and there are so many great makers/Smiths. Owen Bush and others abroad are doing great stuff. Oh to be young and rich...

Ugh 20 years ago?! What the neck happened here?! I've got three VE pieces I should have realized the Dirk was his. I met Hugh once about15 years ago. Check of a nice guy.

I've never seen a Black Cloud sword, but I recognized it from the construction and integral hilt design that they used for their bowies. That top one is the Paul Chen Banshee, which is also a bit of a blast from the past!
It looks like a Black Cloud Knives/Laci Szabo collaboration. Another example below.

You guys are good!🤣 Both nailed it. I can't even recall the publication number Tactical Knives (mid 90's), but I was an easily influenced young Army officer with more money than common sense for sharp objects and that Tactical Knives cover and review article of the Black Cloud Knives "Szabo Bushsword" really sang to me...a little call and Ernest Mayer, class act guy, hooked me up.

One interesting fact about this "sword" is that Ernest made it from ATS34. My concerns were heavy use and chipping, but he assured me it would hold up to some harsh abuse. I did hit a nail in an old fence post I was chopping up, small "ding" that I easily steeled out.
