This looks like a genuine D'Holder custom knife, not a factory-made collaboration. So, if legit, it would be worth more than the Schrade-D'Holder releases. But worth $800 as the seller estimates? I don't know about collector value of various D'Holder models, but AG Russell can order you a brand new handmade D'Holder knives for $1075 through The Cutting Edge with a 3-4 month wait. There are also two D'Holders in the "Knives Ready for Immediate Delivery" section, something like $900 and $1200. And a third sold recently for $385.
There's also a current Canal Street - D'Holder collaboration. Retail price, under $200.
Regarding that auction though... I get a little suspicious when the bidders list is hidden. I can think of no legitimate reason why a seller would do that, but several reasons why a less-than-honest seller might.

Yes, this is a D'holder made by D in his shop. The figure of $200 per inch is one individual's calculation.
The "price" of a D'Holder is very dependent upon the model and the materials. Check out www.dknifeplace.com for information on D'Holders, photos of D making a knife and a listing of his various Maker's Marks.
