Can you put a date to a 119 tang

I got what I think is an older 119. Buffed up the blade and handle which came out very nice. The sheath is in tough but still usable shape. Anyways the tang is stamped:
BUCK
119 /\
U.S.A. (small font)

Any meaning to the /\??

The inverted v is a year mark indicating that the blade was made in 1988. The knife could have been made in 1988 or early 1989, depending on the supply of 119 blades on hand. The Buck website has a chart of year marks.
