Can you strike a ferro rod off the spine of this knife and also what is the purpose of the field lanyard hole in the back and can you use it as a pummel and can you use the back of the knife as a pummel without it

And also can you use the back of the cold steel master hunter as a pummel and can you is the back of the tops hog 4.5 as a pummel, it looks a bit gimmicky to me being the it's a ring
