I have always admired this design but just got around to building one. A very usable knife, easy to make and with no embellishments. Thus keeping the price down on a good quality knife. This blade was hollow ground with a 10 inch wheel to give high grind line; something I have not done much of in the past.

1/8 inch ATS34 heat treated to Rc 58-60
Cryogenic quench
Highly polished
Overall length: 8 5/8 inches including the lanyard ring
Blade is 4 1/8 inches
Handle material is dyed and stabilized curly maple
Hand sewn leather scabbard

$120 SOLD plus $5 shipping to the lower 48. Paypal (gldrewknives@yahoo.com), money orders accepted.

Easy to make eh, I don't think I would say easy, maybe simple but not easy;)

That is one fine looking blade:thumbup:

Sure it was easy Nick; it's like they say "just grind off the parts that don't look like a knife."

Everything Gerry posted is sold and fast.

Nice to see, I agree great knife and buy.

PS: great sheath to go with it. I will have to find one by Gerry to buy one day.

Between the Laconico's and the Drew's selling so fast I have no chance! Now that is a pure woods walker/hunter if I ever saw one. keepem sharp and great job

this knife is sold. Thanks Anthony!

Your quite welcome Gerry, and Thanks back at you, for a tool that from the looks of the straight forward blade design and fine grind appears to be the ultimate working mans hiking and hunting knife that I have been searching for for quite a spell!.

My past experience with all our previous transactions has made me quite a devoted fan of your fine workmanship. Your knives continuously stand up to the rigours of enormous hard usage and endure these harsh conditions(abuse is likely a more accurate term) with incredibly low maintenance.. Pair all this up with a first rate pouch sheath and you have one mighty fine cutter thats hard to beat.

I very much look forward to receiving this one soon!

Best~

Thanks for the review of Gerry's knives, good to hear from another user. I have been tempted by his knives, almost bought that one myself. All look to be good designs, well made and I really like his sheaths.

SpearZ,
I am glad I could assist in some small way. Gerry has got a lot of experience under his belt which enables him to successfully craft a very handsome yet exceptionally hard use knife which always performs well for me. He is also a avid woodsman who hunts and knows the value of a well made tool.. You will find that his designs have a great deal of thought behind them from top to bottom and are built to be chore specific. In addition, I don't know if he does his own heat treat or if he sends his out to some one else. However, I have found his blades heat treat to be absolutely superb!.

In my opinion you won't find a finer custom knife to purchase anywhere..

Blessings,

Anthony

You certainly caught my attention with the name. We Canadians always get excited when somebody mentions our country.

I love the curve in that handle. I could use that thing all day long. Good work, Gerry.
