Canadian belt knives

Go for the original. Good knives, great design. I prefer their carbon steel.

Double Ditto ! This whole line of knives was designed by hard-core users. The "Survival Knife" is an obvious (IMHO) evolution of the Nessmuk, and is unbeatable as a mid-sized camp knife (go for the carbon steel, flat ground, with the micarta grips...). The smaller models excell as a belt knife capable of everything from whittling to food prep... Many of the old timers in the canoe group tend to favor the elliptical blade. The carbon steel takes a razor edge, and is easily kept sharp in the field.

Sorry for the Rave... ! I have loved and carried these knives for sixty years.
