A nice coincidence, my spyderco catalog came a couple of hours before the manix. Beautiful knife, two thumbs way up!

I paid 38.00 in duties which blows. I signed the eBay petition that was making the rounds a couple of weeks ago to raise the $ amount that collects duties.

Unfortunately, Canada’s customs laws make it difficult for eBay users to buy and sell across borders. Our “de minimis threshold” is set at $20, which means we’re responsible for paying duties and taxes on international purchases worth more than $20. Our threshold -- set in the 1980’s -- is out of step internationally: the US threshold is US$800!



 
Well congrats!

I signed the petition too. I have no objection to shopping in Canada but there's a lot of stuff you just can't get here.

Thanks, I'm quite happy with it. Warriors and wonders is great with a great selection, still lots that don't make it there though.
 
I order tons of knives to Canada, sometimes like 3-4 coming a week lol. Recently had one take almost two weeks just in customs! I now mostly use the fed ex 5 day service and not once have they been later then 5 days from item shipped!!

Also depending where your knife makes entry I have had nothing but loooooong wait times for anything coming through the BC customs!!! Mississauga border customs are much more slack I find

Duties!! $120 on a $500 stedemon and $98 on a $450 AdV!! once I was charged $45 on a used $90 pair of oakleys! custom duties are outrageous!!!!
 
I here that brotha!!! although exchange aint to bad on selling items, but my stedemon was like $700 almost at the time. but it was just to pretty to pass up!!
