I have imported quite a few fuxed blades in Canada: never had a problem

In any event..... Who wants a blade that can slide out too easily. It can get nasty when you reach into your pocket.

Given the bad experiences describe by some with Canadian customs and the vagueness of the law, perhaps it would be more prudent to take the issue up in small claims court for a clearer interpretation rather than walk away with an empty box. It would appear that after a year of the new liberal federal government that they are up to their usual tricks of discouraging ownership of anything that remotely resembles a weapon.
