Canadian Dealer info

Duties have always been hit or miss with me, and the only time I have filed for reimbursement they "lost" it and I got screwed. Plus it was when they somehow charged me 22% (if I remember correctly) for GST!

I refuse any shipping that is not USPS coming from USA.

Lol.
S&R's guys can give you pretty good prices on stuff like Spyderco and Benchmade. Though I've found their RATs (which are made by Ontario) are overpriced. And even though I told R from S&R to get the ESEE models, he just never seems to do it.
I'm just patiently waiting for Warriors and Wonders to get their ESEE shipment. It's a great site to order from, I've done it many times.
Also, Knivesshipfree.com, which is an American (US) distrib, are very good with delivering the goods. I got my Izulas from there, and they came quick and without any problems. great source if you don't mind ordering from US.

Damn I guess i've been lucky all this time! Never paid any taxes on those.
Hope my luck stays with me.

As others have said:

Duties - you won't have to pay if it's made in the USA or Mexico.

Taxes - GST/PST are hit and miss, but you'll have to pay this for sure if you buy from a Canadian store

Brokerage - Ask them to ship USPS and you won't have to pay this. UPS are rip off artists, but they have superior tracking so some dealers will only use them for this reason.

Edit: My Izula came from knivesshipfree without any issues. They charged like $5 to ship to my place in Newmarket.

I usually buy from S&R, but lately they seem not to have the pieces such as the ESEE's and other's, that I want.

Also, their prices seem out of line with what I can find online, even after they knock a few bucks off the ticket price. I like supporting local retailers but they at least should be competitive and have what I want.

We just sent a huge order to Warriors and Wonders in Canada

I can't wait to see what the collection and prices are going to be like.

I hope they carry the arrowheads.

Edit*Nice site..plus they are fans of SOAD's music...AS am I *thumbsup*

Thanks it clears up things

They arrived today! I orded the pink izzy for my wife and I got myself the Desert Tan Izula kit !!! I think I am going to get them lazer engraved for our anniversary. Hope she likes it!

warriors and wonders was fast and no issues at all.

+1 on Workwear Canada. I just got my 4 from Paul, and a couple nice Olights (T25 and A3 EOS). Friendly, quick response, and he uses everything he sells (check out his YouTube videos).

I like TKC. My Izula came in 5 days. Across the pond, for only 12usd of shipping costs! My next ESEE will be ordered there too.

I got my ESEE-6 from Warriors and Wonders. I've heard nothing but good stuff about Workwearcanada as well. With Expedited shipping you should have your knife from BC in about 5 business days.

I have ordered knives and related items from many dealers in the U.S. - Cumberland knives, Breeden knives, Jaxx knives, KnivesShipFree, Knife Supply.com, Himalayan Imports, and only once did I have to pay taxes. Dealings with all mentioned was fast and courteous.

As of July 1 (I think) when the HST takes effect, I think customs will ding everything they can, at least for awhile. Just MHO.

One thing, though, ask how the stuff is shipped - if it's by UPS (United Parcel Service?), look somewhere else, because they probably won't kiss you, but they sure as hell will screw you!!! Also, don't confuse this with USPS (United States Postal Service) which is how most of my stuff came.

Supply Seargent does carry our knives so you might want to email them and ask where they are listed on their web site. Mike

I did look at Supply Seargent, at the time that I looked the site said they carried Esee product. However, the links didn't work and nothing was listed. So I waited for Warriors and Wonders and turn around was less than a week. :)

Now to get them laser engraved for our anniversary!!

Just a suggestion, not sure how you go about getting retail vendors in Canada. However, I would like to suggest Le Baron.

http://lebaron.ca/index_en.html

They have 4 large stores, 1 in Montreal and 3 In Ontario and they do online orders as well. Huge camping, hunting and fishing store which carries a large selection of knives. I think the Esee line would fit in well.

Another vote for Paul at Workwear Canada. Excellent customer service and prompt shipping - plus the shipping is free on knives and other larger orders. You may end up paying a few extra bucks compared to the US prices, but the difference is usually small and you don't have to worry about customs delays or fees.
