Brian Tighe. Weird, wonderful, and unique designs. Also, how can you not dig a dude who looks like a mad hippie scientist? :D:thumbup:

Very cool design iv definitely kept an eye on his stuff for a while now. Although I'm more of a user and probably wouldn't have the heart of money to carry one of his blades :p

Anyone here heard of ted bollenbach I believe is was a manitoban maker. My father has one of his knives that he picked up in the early 80's. It's very well done.

Someone already posted Rod Olson, but I will 2nd that! Got a Damasteel/Timascus flipper from him. Fantastic work!

Awesome guys keep me coming. It seems we have a lot of artsy type of knife makers around here. Any that make a nice user that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I like production knives, and I like Grohmann for Canadian production fixed blades. Simply put, they are iconic.

#2 Trout and Bird. Gave this to a friend at the local IWLA chapter.

ya there pretty ergonomic. I didnt think they would be until I held one and was very impressed although I think they could use a better steel for the price imho.

Kirby Lambert a great maker, a great Canadian and one of the nicest people you can meet:

Jay West from Spruce Grove ALberta,, because he is very patient with me!
He also makes fantastic hunting and tactical knives.

nice knives man I really like that handle on that one on the bottom. I checked some of his work out and it definitely looks good. For the prices hes asking though I couldnt do it. First I know too many great makers for less and second I dont think I would have the heart to really use a 700 dollar knife. If i won the lotto perhaps but Im sure id still look to the other makers who earned their stripes and still sell a working knife for a working man.

I have not though that part of canada in the 80s would have still been growing and pretty rural. Do you have any pics?
