Canal Street Cutlery Beauties !!! Just got the Smooth Bone today

Very nice looking Knives there BJ ~~ now I will have to go a looking to see if I can round up a few.!***

Thank you wolf-man-12 !!!

I tried to get a picture of the Sunset Smooth Bone pile side for cairndude. It's a little exaggerated to show detail and lighting is at play. Also, maybe it's more of an "as ground" than satin (?) ... dunno

I measured the length of the blade from the bolster to the tip as just about dead on 3 inches.

NOW I remember reading "Polished Mark Side Blade Finish", but hadn't noticed a difference and had to look again. The mark side is polished and the pile side is satin but they look virtually the same to a casual eye unless you're looking for it and then it's obvious. The sides even feel close to the same. There is no noticeable difference in texture unless you seriously feel for it. There is not enough difference between the sides for me to have noticed anything until you mentioned it and I remembered reading that description. I bet if you had the where with all and desire to do it, the pile side could be easily polished. I'm very happy with it the way that it is ... but yes, now that you mention it ... there is a difference Lol.

Good to know...thanks for the info and pics, Jim.

After snagging a GEC #77 Barlow in autumn gold smooth bone recently, I've grown to really like the smooth bone finish, and want to pick up one of those CSC sunset smooth bone beauties as well. Still trying to decide on whether it's going to be a half moon trapper or a pinch lockback like yours. Whichever, it'll be my first CSC. :D

Those CS Kabars grow on you. I suspect I will pick up the barlow next time I see one at the knife store. I think the two blade (clip and spey) is the most classic barlow design overall versus a single blade.

I do like those Kabar dog head knives but I'd look at one of those CSC knives too. I'm heading to the big knife store in Tennessee on my way to pigeon forge at the end of this month. Might just pick one up
