I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread with pictures of the great knives from our friends at Canal Street -

This is my favorite - carrying it the past two days...

American Elk Canitler in D2 with nickel bolsters - a great example of a great pattern.

Nice one, Andy!

This Cannitler is the only Canal Street Cutlery knife I own. I wanted one for a long time and thanks to a helpful forum member I was able to track this one down. It's a Red Hill Cutlery SFO with Green Stag Bone.

A very well made knife with nice, smooth action. I wish I had a few more but for now this will have to do.

Canal Street was my favorite traditional production company, they will be missed by many. My favorite is the Pinch, which I have gifted about 5 to my friends, one was an AG Russell in Sambar stag, the others were reclaimed chestnut. Sorry can't find pics. Also gifted this Eric's Jack. I still have this hunter in Paua, 1 of 13.

Thanks to RobbW for this one...

I know that part of the issue is a lack of sales but seeing that they are closing makes me want one of the new boy's knives with the gold g10. Too little too late but I do want to own a piece of this great company. I only wish I appreciated traditional knives earlier in life.

I'm still in denial, I've been patiently waiting for the next new handle material.

I have 2, both forum knives, the 2006 Ring Opener and the 2007 Canittler, I'll post picc later.

Currently, my one and only...

That's the one I really like, very aesthetic knife in materials that suit the frame.:thumbup:

However, I don't have one and I regret to say that the five or six CS knives I have owned have all had issues that I would not expect to find on knives of that cost. I was probably unlucky but it had an impact on me.

Regards, Will

Here's the stockman to match your knife.
