Canal Street Tribute Thread

Nearly from when this one went into my pocket it became my favorite trapper. Ram and 440C go great together!

Get one while you can they make a killer knife!

...This is my favorite - carrying it the past two days...

American Elk Canitler in D2 with nickel bolsters - a great example of a great pattern.

Nice one, Andy!

This Cannitler is the only Canal Street Cutlery knife I own. I wanted one for a long time and thanks to a helpful forum member I was able to track this one down. It's a Red Hill Cutlery SFO with Green Stag Bone.

A very well made knife with nice, smooth action. I wish I had a few more but for now this will have to do.

My only one - the Eric's Jack:

Wow, those cannitlers and John's Eric's Jack are fantastic-looking knives!:thumbup:

You can't tell from the pics but the fit/finish is perfect, and the pull is nice and smooth. Great little knife. I hope Eric lands on his feet and finds a place where his skill and artistry as a cutler can continue to bring us such great knives in the future.

I posted this thought on the other CSC thread, but what do you guys think about that anybody that has had an interest in their knives and is in a position to do so, buy one now to maybe infuse some cash back to CSC for the holidays. This isn't the greatest time to buy stuff right now for me, but I did pick out a full moon trapper. will that help? I don't know.

That would certainly work if purchased directly from the factory.

Glad I just picked up this Boy's Knife in zebra wood. Just starting a new job so money is tight at the moment or I'd be picking up a swell center jack.

My first traditional pocketknife was a CSC-made Ka-Bar Dog's Head Coppersmith Barlow. I only own one other Canal Street knife, my Eric's Jack, but both are personal favorites -- and together they represent 16% of my small collection.

These are both fabulous knives, and I'm sad to see Canal Street go. I wish everyone there the best of luck and speedy re-employment, especially the Porch's own Eric (of Eric's Jack).

my only CS knives, got in a trade for some artwork a few years ago, matched & numbered set
beautiful knives
Such a shame that they are closing

I had posted most of these before in a thread, but it seems only fitting to show them again...
