I was the leader in the 2011 Custom Knife Collectors Association cancer research bowie. Steven Rapp made the throat and tip sheath and Brian Hochstrat engraved both the knife and the sheath.

Please consider purchasing a raffle ticket that will be for sale beginning at the Blade Show time and will also be available on-line with paypal. Somebody is going to win this for a very low investment.

There is a very detailed "work in progress" at the CKCA site here: http://www.customknifecollectorsassociation.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1002
Check it out, I think you'll enjoy the progress shots.

I just read through that WIP thread...wow. That's just amazing. Amazing work by all involved, and for a great cause. Thank you, Bruce et al.

thanks Makermook. Theres over 100 pictures in this WIP and should be helpful to some makers that havent done a "flip damascus aka tile method" also a "take down threaded tang" or lathe turned guard and one piece frame/rear bolsters.

That's gorgeous. :D
WIP saved. Can't wait to wade through it all. I need those threaded tang and guard tips.
Thanks for sharing Bruce!

Your talent is absolutely amazing!!!

I'd like to buy some raffle tickets, but I won't be going to Blade. Am I out of luck?

Thanks guys for the compliments

Nope dont worry you'll see more of this knife. Ticket sales will be available here after Blade Show.

Sweet! I was thinking this might be a "must be present to win" raffle. You can count on me to buy a fistful of tickets.

SWEET WORK MY FRIEND!!! :D

I have a big bowie/fighter blade out in the drawer in W's that looks exactly like that blade. Mike Quesenberry told me to get my ass in gear and finish it. This is some great inspiration to do that.

Good on you guys for working so hard for such a great cause!!! :)

Thanks much Nick.
I hear you and Mike Q had some good cussing and discussing time after OKCA. I'd love to see what comes of all that.
