Candles for camping?

Use candles if you prefer the quality of light they give off, or you need the heat they throw. I camped last winter and sometimes used 3 tea lights in a tin to light the tent. No, they are not as powerful as my LED lantern, but I like the light better. Warmer and more pleasant. This setup is also a good emergency heat source if snowbound.

Cool idea! Will have to check this out. Good idea adding matches to the tin. Perhaps glue a match striker strip on the tin as well. Nice, inexpensive, and "disposable" if necessary. Thanks for sharing!

I run the UCO Micro Candle Lanterns with 9 hour tealight candles, which actually last longer than 9 hours.

Great combination.

You could try either neutral or High CRI tinted LEDs. Those are what I use for the warmer light. I like the candle tin idea though. :)
