What to you guys think of this. I plan on starting the canister like Bruce Bump did, length wise. Now the first layer would be MC primary chain with 1084/4600 powder, cover with a layer of nickel, then chainsaw chain with 1084 powder cover with a layer of nickel and the the last layer like the first.:eek::confused::confused:;):D

could be cool IG. I assume you'd just fore it down to get the "chain san-mai" effect rather than slab it?

Post pictures!

Geo, I think I would leave out the nickel and the 1084. The nickel will more than likely cover up some otherwise good pattern from the chain and the 1084 is too coarse unless its the powdered stuff.

Is the nickel in powder or sheet?

The nickel is .004 sheet and the 1084 and 4600E are powders.:D I think the nickel will leave a fine line between the MC chain and the chainsaw chain.:confused:

Geo, I say go for it. The fine line should look good. I was thinking it was a thicker sheet of nickel. Where did you find the 1084 powder? Mine is definately coarse filings like from under a bandsaw.

Lets see how it comes out.

Bubba Bump, I got the powder from Brian Lerch @ 262 617 7929 or 262 246 6362
