Having built the worlds lightest time alpe d'huez, gen 7 madone slr9, gen 8 madone slr9, pinarello f5, gen 3 trek checkpoint I wanted to see what I could do with what everyone calls the ultimate "do it all" aero/climbing/sprinting bike, the supersix evo. Well I think I nailed it! 6.250kg as shown with everything on it including the heavy 32c N.EXT tires (lots of broken glass/staples in the bike lane here right now)
This build will absolutely embarrass a lab71 or any other $16k "off the rack" bike on a climb, accelerating from a stop or pulling a gap for a breakaway.
Lightest bike i've ever built, no performance compromises made on parts just to be light weight either, everything on here is exceptionally stiff and built to satisfy myself as a very strong rider who is also 80kg. I'm extremely pleased with the # and just tickled with the timeless gloss black/silver/white accent looks. This bike will still be considered a super bike 20 years from now.
Ideal fitment for 5ft11 to 6ft3 riders, 400x420x110 cockpit, yes its slammed but the head tube dimensions on this 58cm are a full inch higher than the 56cm so you get the benefits of the 58cm's slightly longer wheelbase and front center (no toe overlap for us with size 11+ shoes) and the cosmetic benefit of having slammed bar look while not having such an extreme saddle:bar drop height. Newest dura ace di2 coupled with ultra lite FSA Team carbon cranks in 50/34 with an insanely light billet 11-32 cassette will let you cover all your bases from riding the fast flats of Florida and more than a 1:1 climbing ratio that will feel like having a 36t out there because its just so damn light and snappy. The wheels are the new avian cr5db and as shown in the pics are LESS THAN 1 KG FOR THE PAIR!!! tubeless, 45mm deep, carbon aero spoked, ceramic bearing and even better yet full warranty! Pair with the wheels are the ultra exotic overfast carbon axels. a true work of art themselves.
If your about 6ft tall and want a basically brand new bike that anyone in the TDF would kill to be able to race, look no further.
