It's that time of year again folks: the weather is starting to cool, wood ticks and chiggers are ebbing and we all want to be in the woods. This handy little axe fits nicely in a day pack, in your kayak, under the seat of your pickup.
Forged from 1095 high carbon steel
I heat treated the edge of this to Rc 58-60 so a file will not sharpen it like most axes, you would need a stone.
Curly maple handle
Handle length: 14 inches
Cutting edge about 3 inches
Length of the head is 6 inches
Simple leather edge guard
