Thanks - My compass doesn't function at all. Either the needle is stuck or it is just meant to be a decoration. But the needle doesn't moveron55 ¿how well does the compass function on the Böker Louis & Clark?
Do the blades have to be open for it to give an accurare (or semi accurate, as the case may be) reading?

Very comfy in hand.I don’t own any canoe patterns, I’ve always been thrown off by the bolster shaping thinking it would create a hot spot when holding. These in this thread actually look comfortable in the hand, I’m assuming many of you who collect them enjoy the hand feel?
I agree. Canoes are very comfortable in the hand, but anything smaller would not at least for me.Very comfy in hand.
I'm not sure about the "butter bean" size and smaller though.
