Can't Decide - Kabar vs. Benchmade

so whers the evidence that they are better???? Iv seen them put through the same tests as a cheap cs piece and fail them with ease. unless you have some pics of them being hit twisted pryed and thrown I would love to see them , everyone SAYS they are good but havent seen anyone stepping up to back that claim have you??? any time I ask those benchmaders to back up their stuff they back off , why is that you think??? you want a real knife buy a custom you want a thing to open your mail buy whatever is sharp. you like butterflys on you stuff more power to you, I dont and wont again. as far as im concerned no one makes a nicer bali than bm...but in a folder I think not. SEMPER FI:grumpy:

Really? I think you should step over to the review sections and read some of the longer term reports from Benchmade users. I don't know where you've been looking (apparently you haven't been) but I've seen a whole bunch of people backing up thier claims of BM being a very good knife. I've myself used BM's for a while now. I was using a 835HS, which is one of the Zytel handled models with M2 blade. I work in a warehouse and use it dozens, if not hundreds, of times daily. I've never had it "snap daily". I now use a 710HS. I still carry the 835HS also. I just wanted to upgrade the locks and handle.

Also, it seems strange to be able to see a knife "snap daily" when you've owned all of two. I've gotta go with fishbulb here. You have an irrational dislike for Benchmade. A dislike is fine, but some of your comments do point to the irrational factor.

i didnt say mine snapped i have seen others snap doing things.there is better things out there thats all, people dont like the cold steel hype, I dont like the bm hype thats all, they dont appeal to me and here it gets shoved down my throat all the time.:barf:

Okay we get the messege. You don't like Benchmade.

As for the original post:
Forget the Kabar and get the Benchmade.

Good luck,
Allen.
