Can't find a knife with all these qualitites

if you don't want spring assisted, but like the aegis, take out the spring. it's really easy. buy the appropriate torx bit, take it down, and remove the spring. i hate the safety's so i took them out of my flash, and trident when i first had them

edit- although taking down the knives will void the warranty(which is why i no longer buy knives like that)

I would try a Buck Vantage as mentioned above or go for Spyderco Native FRN, besides clip on the Native they are both a pretty good match. If you are really going to use the knife I wouldn't go for thinnest and lightest

Nope I'm still here. I appreciate all the recs so far. The modified Aegis is currently top of my list. The Buck Vantage looks nice also, with the only drawback being the large is a bit heavy and the small is a bit, well, small. I also thought about the Sanrenmu 763, but the blade is a bit short. I'm just waiting for a good deal on the Aegis.

I wouldn't go with the aegis to be honest...that is unless of course you feel like risking getting one with horrendous blade play (SOG's kinda known for that these days...) and can put up with low quality materials and shoddy quality control...
