Can't find a Wharncliffe!

I like my brous ss; it's a sturdy little neck knife

I second the Chokwe. It has a slight curve at the tip but it's a Wharncliffe folder through and through.
It's light, thin, ti frame lock, good steel, long for any tasks that require more blade, rides thin and light in the pocket, slices like a laser and works for any regular EDC tasks. The tip is nice and pointy as well, but even with being pointy it's pretty strong. Overall it's a great EDC knife. It looks a little different but the ergos are awesome and you actually come to enjoy the oddness of it. Just a great blade overall.

Another I was going to mention is the Spyderco Air. Light, thin, beautiful, razor sharp M4 steel, ti liners to make it lighter, no clip but rides nice in the pocket or a slip pouch. Nice little knife and would make a nice EDC.

T.A. Davidson listed a sweet fixed blade in the knifemaker's fixed blade forum. I'd snatch that up, given what you've said you want.

I cut a lot of boxes at work and love the combo blade Leek. Although, I've had my eye on the Spyderco Des Horn as something to switch thinks up.

Everything recomended here are all solid options and I have to agree with all of them. I eventually want to try most of them mentioned in this thread so far.

I have the same problem, I want a wharnecliff but there isn't much of anything that pops out at me. Also I've been really tight for money lately so I can't do my normal buy and try and sell if I don't like. I have a brous ssv2 I want the wharn version and I also have a CRKT minimalist in the bowie but not wharnie. I've been looking for an actual folts minimalist though, I want the better steel. The leek is nice but its too small for what I want to use it for, I don't quite like the spyderco's a whole lot honestly and the story goes on just like this haha. I have a few in mind but like I said money is a big issue right now. My buddie has one I really like but I just like the blade and nothing else really. The reverse tanto Boker AK74 Auto. But the handle doesn't appeal to me and it feels weird in my hand, doesn't really fit me, I dislike auto's as well. But the hollow ground and the blade shape make it a great box cutter with a real thin edge but its got enough blade behind it that it will withstand lateral forces, he actually pries with it alot. Its a great knife but I just don't like 98% of it. lol

I love Wharnies. They come in an amazing assortment of sizes, materials, and materials.

Not to drag this off topic, but that's a sexy knife you have there. I've been carving with a Tuff Lite and Mini Tuff Lite, and if there's anything I'd change about them it's that they look kind of cheap and plastic-ey. A custom with the same sturdy shape, damascus, wood scales and a wire pocket clip? Me likey . . .

Man, you NEED that knife! It's got your name all over it.

For a fixed blade, how about the Bark River TUSK?
More sheepsfoot than warnie, but still, very nice.

Like mrn8 said in post #24, that T. A. Davison on the knifemakers for sale page looks great fits your description and is within your price range.

The Wharncliffe-like Boker Haddock and Snody-designed discontinued Benchmade 425 were each <$200 locally. In fact, you'd have more than enough left to buy a special G10 version of the Kershaw 'Needs Work'.

Sailing/Mariner knives, like the long discontinued Buck 315 - or Myerchin - have Wharncliffe-style blades:

Then there is last year's short run from Kershaw - admittedly ~$250 - but gone - the TILT!

For fixed blades, you have choices... from the Bark River T.U.S.K. to the Benchmade 171 'BladeSport Chopper':

 Wow! I have been spending to much time on gun forums... I forget how polite and helpful you people are. Some of customs pictures have me drooling, and I will definitely own one, one of these days. Thanks for all the help, keep the pictures coming!

I second (or third, I lost count ;)) the idea of keeping an eye on the Maker's For Sale area for a fixed blade. For folders, a custom will most likely be out of your price range. There are a couple nice wharncliffes there now.

Sorry, I didn't realize that I hadn't put any words to the music before I clicked.

This was the picture I meant as the first one:

With the exception of those, you should be able to find any of the others for $200 or less, some of them, a lot less.

Lynn Dawson isn't showing her little ring knife, but her husband, Dennis Cook is. With this, you can wear your bling and literally be "A Sharp Dressed Man." (On second thought, I'll IM that link to you. I don't know whether posting a link to the maker is kosher.) (Not that it's difficult to look up.)

I got a sway back wharncliffe folder from Michael Morris, specifically to cut Biltong (Jerky, SA style) and open beer bottles. Cost me around $100 or so.
