IP check on aisle one… I think we all smell lasadork.
Won't do any good.....If he was banned, the forum software should be able to prevent a return using the same IP......should....There are ways around it though.

Don’t think so. I’ve seen many returning trolls show up with a new username and same IP. Once sniffed they’re snuffed, but I don’t think the software has IP addresses on “autoban” if they return.

The Cold Recon 1 is one of the greatest knives of all-time. I have the Cold Steel Recon 1 in spear point, and it excels at all tasks. It's one of my main edc options. Like I always say, you can't have no fun if you ain't got no Cold Steel Recon 1.
The Cold Steel Recon 1 is an exceptional knife, but if you only have one and it's not a tanto blade, you're committing a sin before whatever god you worship. :)

The Xenforo software should do this. Once a member is banned, the users IP is identified and any new username created after the ban using the same IP should be held for Admin approval. At least thats how it works on the forum I moderate using the same platform. I don't see why it would not be the same here. However, dynamic IPs, VPNs and any of the many IP spoofing software tools available makes it a bit too easy to return post ban.

I’m speculating here, but given how many times I’ve seen this happen, I’m pretty sure returning IPs are not banned. At least they haven’t been up until now from what I’ve seen.

I’ve seen it happen too many times (can we run an IP check on this troll? I think it’s ______ returning”). That wouldn’t be going on if the IP addresses were banned. Trolls seem to get banned, chuckle a little, create a new login, and jump right back on here spewing shit.

Couldn’t be that easy, right? Damn sure shouldn’t be that easy.

New user names aren't banned, just sent for approval before being activated. If they aren't being monitored, they should be. Its part of the Xenforo software package.
However, its is all too easy to spoof a new IP and get around the ban. Although, if thats whats happened here, it only serves to cast further doubt on that guy. He said he was old school and couldn't even manage to post a picture, yet here he is using a VPN to create new IP addresses.....

Ah yeah, I don’t think that switch got flipped or button got clicked or whatever the kids these days are saying.

Either that or BF is full of elite haXorZ spoofing their IPs to rise again as the same choads under new labels.🤔

IP addresses typically aren't banned because there's too many shared or dynamic ones out there. Comparing IPs can be a tool to identify duplicate accounts, but that's obviously not foolproof or definitive either. I don't think new accounts require approval here either; too many to sift through, takes too much time.

I would think all that would be the exception, not the rule. I’d ban IPs to kick the dingleberries and sort the legits out later, but what do I know.

Its not so hard to ban individuals based on IPs now. The newer IPv6 protocols make it much easier to sort it out. Of course, dynamic IPs and the like are a problem.
It doesn't matter if new accounts don't require approval. The Xenforo platform software should specifically identify IPs used by previously banned users, and a notice is sent to the Mods for action.....if that is being used here....
