These two knives, the Ontario Rat 1 and Rat 2:

And also Knifeworks. They're a top notch company, and, while I usually get good service, They seem to be at the top of the heap (along with DLT, but I ordered these Rats from KW).

All-around home runs here.

I completely agree with you man. Great knives at a great price. And Knifeworks is a good company. I've been buying knives from them for years and they've always been great to deal with.

they are great "budget" knives. i always recommend them for something affordable. they are probably the best affordable folders. id rather save more $ and buy something better, but not everyone cares to do that, this would be the best solution for them.

What steel do they come in and where are they made?

I'm sure they are great budget knives and they are always highly recommended. But I'm not real big on the looks or liner locks.

Might have to pick one up as a gift some day to check it out.

They come in either AUS-8 or D2, D2 costing a little bit more. They are made in Taiwan. (edited from china to Taiwan, Thanks caseknife64)

just make sure to avoid clones as they really are very bad.
