I can't say no to my Military. It's looks up at me everytime I think of carrying something else and I just can't help but want to carry it. I tried carrying my Griptilian today and my CRKT M21-14 that I recently got, but they just don't stack up to the Military.

I have the S30V version and it's awsome. I used it today to bar-b-que the good old fashioned way down here in Texas. It sliced through everything great and held it's edge even when I grazed the grill with the blade. This knife really feels like it is "The One," but you never know, waiting on buying a D'allara soon.

Right now it's probably the best Spyderco in production (my opinion of course until I buy something else from sal :D, maybe a D'allara). It's certain to stay as my EDC for a long time.

Anybody else think this knife is "The One," or just plain bad a$$?

its a bad a$$ knife for sure. i love mine, it just cant seem to find its way into my edc.

My BG-42 Military is ALWAYS in my EDC. It is always in my right front pocket next to my Emerson Karambit :) I can't love it any more

Tom

Yeah, the BG42 is absolutely one of the nicest blades in my collection. I also love my CPM D2 version. Speaking of CPM D2, I just got outbid on one of the new D2 Para Millies on ebay, and my top bid was $120.00!! I still have time to bid again, but I just might hold off, I know I'll be able to get one for a bit less than that eventually. Then again, it WOULD be nice to have one right now:D:D

Cheers,
Jon

LOL, I think we'd all fork out that extra cash just for the sake of having the "item" RIGHT FRIKKIN NOW!!! Even if we can't eat good for a couple of days :D.

The Millies are on fire. There's something about them. My P-Mil. is with me everyday. Thanks.

I ALWAYS have one of my millies on me, usually the S30V one, simply because it's the easiest to replace if lost/stolen
when I buy a new knife I don't remove the millie from EDC, just carry both

The Millie is a little big for me, but if it weren't for the Caly 3, the Para-Millie would be my favorite Spydie for sure. I just can't decide between the Caly 3 and the Para, so I rotate both. Today I am carrying the Para.

Great knife I've had for years. I had Gary (G2 on the Forums) make me a sheath and the whole rig just naturally rides on my belt.

I literally had my FG E4 in my RFP today to go ahead and do something different, but before I left the house, I went back and switched it out for my usual RFP knife - my BG-42 Millie. It is hands-down, my favorite variant of my favorite knife. I also have the D2 version (love it too) as well as a CE S30V. I love my Millies so much, sometimes I even carry two!

Okay, everyone here should know by now that I am completely insane, so I'll throw in my two cents.

I've been carrying three Millies for the last several months. Lately it's been a 440V, a D2 and an S90V. I was carrying the BGCF before I got the S90V.

It's funny how the Military shrinks. When you first pick one up, it's HUGE. After you carry it for a few days, it becomes a normal size knife and Delica sized knives are just tiny.

Oh yeah, I've had the "shrinking knife" syndrome. That's actually the reason why I don't like knives anywhere near 3" or less, they just seem so small.

You sure have that one right, Yablanowitz. I am constantly amazed how such a large blade just seems to disappear in my pocket. After you carry one for a while, you wonder how you ever lived without it.

that just hapens to be the two knives I rotate.I've been carrying the caly 3 for a while now. Its about time I switched to the para again, but the caly does all I ask of it.maybe I'll switch to the D2 para I received today.
