Can't wait for the SH1 anni knife

Just so there is no misunderstanding, the $1,000 guess came from a HOGlet here on the board who, though very experienced with Busses, AFAIK had no direct info from anyone at Busse. It was a guess and nothing more. :D

I understand. At 1,000.00 It would need to be an extremely limited run, like say 50 knives. Then you could get your money back out of it if you were so inclined in the future. But anymore than that (50) and I would be out for sure.

Might use some rare or 'tricked out' handle materials too. That would drive the price up beyond what you've seen on the FBMLE.

Personally, I would like an LE version. With Tiger Mags. Under the FBM LE price too...

Is that asking too much? ;)

I figured it would come in under the FBMLE price since it will be a normal production run.

Of course, as someone said, if upscale handle materials are in the picture, that factor might make a difference.

Hmmm.
I disagree with the SOWs. The knives are HUGE! and custom shop made!
The prices fit in with recent ganza offerings.
But about the anniversary knife, I'm going to have to pass.
IMO....... It's a mistake to offer it so soon to so many extravaganzas, special offerings like the GWs, and not to the mention the holy of holies, the FBM!

I second that.
In size the SOW is actually closser to a SH than to a NO.
I was surprised how big it is. Way cool too :D :D
The rule of thumb $100/inch for Custom Shop INFI fits the price.

The price of the SH1 Anniversary Knife will affect me in only one way. It will determine whether I get one or two. :)

I would guess they will be under $500, it will more like a production knife since you will be able to order one. :D

No one will be able to get one if your around a keyboard when these things go up for sale.;) If they are around 500.00 I'll take a couple:D

SOW's were definitely too rich for my blood, but so were FBMLE's for that matter.

Why?

I can't use a $700 knife. Not ever. Can I AFFORD to? Yeah. I can also afford to not be the slowest guy outta the blocks on a green light. But I don't. I drive stingy and slow on the green.

SOW's were overpriced to ME, but like Walkin Man said, they were a highly-custom blade so the price reflected that. A ton more work goes into a LE-style blade.

The steal of the show were the relatively inexpensive satin-finish GW's. (Red, green, and snake will likely be the biggies, but I think orange will be popular on the exchange as well.) In years to come, those will be the "why didn't I buy one/more of those" type of blades. Coating is easy in relation. Grinds don't have to be perfect.

I don't care what any one says, my two SOW's were worth it.

I don't know how they compare to an SFNO. They are not much larger than my Mud Razor, but they are thicker.

I think the SH1 will be under $400 or pretty close if it's coated. A satin or double cut probably won't push it much over $500.

If I'm right, I'm going to get at least 3.

If yer right, I'll get at least one LE/Satin/Double Cut, and one CG/Coated...

Dude, $1k for a Busse Anniversary Knife? Ain't nuttin but a thing.

BRING IT ON,

Oh ok, Lets be reasonable here.

Here is my inexperienced guess.

I think if there was only going to be one version of the SHSH it will be a satin finish and it will be priced midway between the FBMCG and FBMLE.
I really really want one but if it is more than 500$ I just cannot afford it.
Thats like almost 4 bike payments or a years insurance.
If it was a LE I could see it costing close to 1000$ but I think a better guess would be about 100$ more than a FBMLE tops. I hope their is a CG but I kind of doubt it as they couls probably sell as many satin or fully polished as they want so why waste the INFI.

My best guess:

Satin only, Tigerstripe or G10 (Busse black and yellow?), maybe with a standard or magnum handle option. $700-800 price range. (As much or more work and materials than the SOW.) At that price I would buy a user and a queen.

Now, if they could only be thinner than 1/4", but that ain't gonna happen.:(

That sounds to me like the best guess so far on all counts. How cool would black & yellow be?

Black and yellow would be SWEET! My mouth would be locked open for about an hour with drool pouring out.:D
