Am a big fan of the Captain - this is one of the few "around 3in." blade knives I have found that does the kind of jobs I need a EDU for. My one weinie gripe was that like every other smaller handled knife I've used - the clip gets in the way when I'm doing a bunch of repitive cutting tasks. minus the clip and this is one of the most comfortable tools I've ever used.
decided to order a clipless horizontal belt sheath from Vess Leatherworks - US and Canadian mail co-operated and this morning it arived. Put it to use today. decided to cary SoB - and it did get caught once on a cable while crawling around a pile of tires on some industral shelving - may try it right front tomorrow - but realistically anything you clip to your belt is going to get in the way some of the time ( pager has been in the way as a regular part of life for 20 years). Minus the clip - this is such a great tool - tough enough to pry with and sharp enough to shave the edges off of siamese co-ax cable - as small a blade as makes sense and a handle and choi design that is both very secure and extremly comfortable. Blade admittedily looks weird - but works very well.
Thank You Vadim Grynko at Vess Leatherworks - I finally have a small knife to do big work!
