What do you want to know about it? Seriously, I've had 3 different ones (I still have one). Odd blade design, but I think it's useful & sturdy. Lately, I keep it in my detachable sheath of my B/M 156 CSK. It's a great folder for camping. Kind of a "do all" folder.

Personally, I've had no problems with Spyderco's liner locks. While I prefer tip-up carry, I like that you can have a choice (For righties or lefties, although the liner-lock makes it a "little" tougher for lefties). It opens quickly & smoothly, is comfortable in my XXL hands & of course, VG-10 is a great steel (Holds an edge for a reasonably long time while being relatively easy to sharpen, too). Spyderco's G-10 is great, as usual (Not too rough, but grippy enough).

I like the flat grind tip (That's not going to break) & the hollow grind main edge.

Right now, it's my favorite Spyderco. The only other Spydie that I really want is a Sage. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Check it out, it's a nice knife.

Got one last weekend at a local gun show, mainly due to its strange blade design.

Another quirky Spyderco - the whole blade is just one big edge.
My Captain was very sharp out of the box, and even sharper after a few passes on my Sharpmaker. Damn thing cuts like a razor.

Strongly constructed, VERY secure lockup, thick liners, G10 scales. Not too big or heavy in the pocket, not too small or light in the hand.

I think as long as you dont need to stab something, the Captain would be useful for both everyday cutting tasks and defensive needs.

Got mine about a month ago and been EDC'ing it ever since. Felt strange in the beginning, but it groes on you quickly. It looks bigger than what it really is. Grippy, sharp, good lock-up. I really like it, hope you will too.
