Car stolen last night...help me to replace it!

Well, we closed a deal last night. We bought a 2004 Honda Pilot EX wih leather, and added a few options: side steps, towing package, auto dimming mirror, and a few other minor items. We should be able to pick it up on Friday.

We chose the Pilot since it's got the 3rd row of seats, is one of the safer cars on the road, reasonable gas mileage for a 4,300 lb vehicle, and it's HUGE inside for the outside dimensions.

We looked at the Subaru Impreza, Forester, and Outback, the VW Passat, and the Honda Odyssey. The Pilot came out on top when we actually thogught about it.

Thanks for all the ideas.

consumer reports lists the 3 most reliable car company as fallows.

1. Toyota. 8 problems out of every 100 new cars..
2. (Tied) Hyundai. 10 problems out of every 100 new cars.
2. (Tied) Honda. 10 problems out of every 100 new cars.

I agree with skyline when he says to buy the Forester XT. Lots of torque, speed, room, reliablily, and it has all wheel drive. 0-60 in 5.3 and the 1/4 mile in 13.8 makes this one fast car/truck. Only the rims and the hood scoop keep this bad boy from looking like a normal Forester. The ultimate sleeper.

Forester XT from Road and Track.

Opps I did not read your last post. I hear the Pilot is the best SUV for the money. You bought a great truck. Congrats.

Thanks to this thread as well!

I just bought a black Forester XT (Thanks again SKYLINE). I bought the one the owner of the dealership had been driving, it had 700 miles on it, but some more options, on top of the premium package. Gave me a very good price since it had some miles on it.. The extras are spoiler, mud flaps, auto-dimming mirrow w/ compass, cargo bin, and rear bumper sensors for backing up. It's very practical for me and the wife, especially up in New England. But the best thing about it can really move, it's really quick. Awesome all-around package.
