For a good part of the winter I carried a Cara Cara, either FRN or G10 model, and found them to be great knives when wearing gloves.
But since the Cara Cara's blade is a little longer than the law allows in many jurisdictions, I wanted to take one down to 3.5". And I wanted to leave as much weight as reasonable towards the tip so I could still "pop" it open without huge effort.
I thought the blade lended itself very nicely to this simple mod, and makes a really good looking rescue-style blade:
