After a significant amount of frustration in workflow speed and tool life, I decided I would have custom tooling made for my folders. My first batch of these were for 0-80, 1-72, and 2-56 button head screws. Development took almost five months before I was satisfied with the cutting action. I had ten of each made, kept a couple sets for myself and sold the rest to friends. The feedback on these has been huge! Most want the 2-56 size so I had another batch of 20 made in the 2-56 size only. I am doing this as a service for other makers and if it becomes a pain to continue, I will stop.

These counterbores are professionally re-ground from new carbide 11/64" (0.171") end mills. The pilots are approximately .050" in length and are designed to fit a #44 clearance hole. If you need to put counterbored holes in Titanium, Moku-ti, hardened steel, carbon fiber, or Kevlar, these will save you a lot of time and frustration. They are not really a good option for soft steels, aluminum, bronze/brass alloys, etc.

Price is $40 each plus $5 per package for domestic shipping. Paypal is fine or you can send me a check. PM or email me at ohlemannr@hotmail.com

Any questions, please ask.

Are you referring to the button head screws from alpha? If so I want one of these.

I don't think AKS sells button heads, they sell pan heads. That said, a 2-56 pan head should have a head diameter of .167" and that will fit nicely (IMO) into a .171" hole.

Bob,
I need a 2-56 counterbore

Bruce, you are on my list to send emails. You will hear from me today.

I'll take one if you have any left. Is your PayPal address the same as your email? Thanks

Well crap, my last message never posted... No wonder you never replied!
I'm in if you still have any. I'll send an email.
