Carbidizing your Strider: Yes or no?

First thing is first.
Its knives, guys.

Second I love hearing from the guys who almost bought a strider so many times etc, etc. Or they owned it
For one day but claim to know exactly how they will function 10 years down the road.

Does anyone actually have evidence of a signifigant amount of these knives actually wearing out and becoming useless?

I still have 2 user strider folders with old lockup (oh no!!) 5+ years old that function perfectly. My EDC is an SMF that has over
6 years on it. Zero noticable change in the lockup position.

Pimp your Knife if that is what makes you happy, but preemptive mods to fix imagined loss of functionality in the unknown future
Is completely unnecessary. Part of the price of the knife is for the warranty. Dont void it worrying about Internet stories from guys
Who dont even own or use the item in question. Use it as needed, if something breaks send it in for repair.
Best of luck.

All 3 of these have many years of use and many more to come.

BTW anyone know who can carbide coat the firing pin on this kimber cause I read on the Internet...

Awesome post Lefty!!! So awesome it just made me reconsider selling my SMF. Pulling it from the exchange now.

You are totally right. People never give these knives a chance. Just like the MKT's. Everyone's a critic, but almost all of them have never had their hands on one.

Let's see some more pics of your beautiful collection of striders!!
