Here's a little fighter I'm finishing up. Just the size to tuck in the pants:). 6 inch 80crv2 blade, 10 3/4 overall length, sharpened clip, tapered tang, G-10 liners, carbon fiber handle, and a kydex IWB sheath with J-hook attachment. This one is available. Thanks for lookin', comments / critique welcome.

Nice, I like it.

Really nice.
I like this fighter style of fixed blade.

Smaller than usual for me for sure;)...it does ride nicely on the belt. I'm used to packing a 16 inch bowie so this one's just a wee little thing:)

No problem Rolf. It just made me laugh.

Especially knowing that Ben normally carries a beast of a fixed blade.

Hell, I'd do the same if I could.

I'm working on a hidden tang design for those of you who like the little blades;) I may do a run of five or try to slip one in for sale every month or so between orders. Works on the same principle of this knife...concealable but still packs a punch. It'll be about a 5.5 inch blade with a long sharpened clip to cut comin' and goin'. I'm planning on some in damascus and in 1075 with hamon, and I hope to try some San Mai.
I may even have to start carrying one, lol!:);) Stay tuned 'cause I'm hoping to have a proto in about a month.

Ben, I think you have a home run with this new design. Perfect size, and profile. Go for it!

Very cool design but mind if I ask a question? I've noticed that a lot of bowie clips end in a peak above the back of the blade where it used to be completely straight, if you know what I mean. Is there a reason for this other than present day aesthetics? Is there a practical reason?

I don't know that this clip is necessarily new. If you look at the traditional southwest bowie you'll find it very similar. It seems that longer clips are trending now. From a functional standpoint the longer clip works better in reverse grip knife fighting because obviously the longer cutting edge on the clip translates to a more effective cut. The raised clip also makes it easier to sharpen because it provides a definite termination point for the cutting edge much the same as the forged in choil does.

That new design is a winner Ben!

Love the new design. You know how I feel about EDC sized stuff haha.
Yep! Know where you stand on that one, Scurvey:). Before long you'll have a cute little subhilt that's awfully similar to this'n;)

Good looking fighter. Funny how many people can't believe what size Bowie you conceal...good seeing you at the show.
