Carbon fiber CQC-12

Damn Haze, you a clever monkey..... that's awesome!

Any chance you'll be making any more of those scales in the near future?

I will/would but I'm not going to do a 2 piece scale and spacer in carbon fiber again. I find carbon fiber has a tendancy to chip out along the edges and often has small voides in the bonding medium. It's far better to make a one piece scale and spacer on a miling machine. I'll have access to one in my old shop when I go back home, about July. Untill then it will just be G-10 and peraps some nice wood. :)

Haze is NOT a monkey. He's a peanut butter Wolf!!
:p

You said it man. :p

man that looks good, thats as good as it gets for a production '12 imho, i might have to have ya put me on your list to do that to mine, did you satin the blade too?

what, you dont want to fool with CF? come on now my best bud lol, think about it anyway.

Yup, that's the same full satin 12 with the Ti clip I posted pics of a while back.

As for working carbon fiber, I find the less edges you have on any CF parts the better. Making the scale and spacer from one piece only leaves the outside edge (that's chamfered any way) and the edge that sits on the Ti slab.

I'll hapily do you an integral one when I get back home, that would defo. be the way to go IMO and what I would reccomend. :)

Can you PM me what such a job would cost?
I'd love an integral carbon fiber side/back-spacer for my 12.:)
And a titanium, full-ring back-spacer for the Combat Karambit would rock as well.

all right, let me know when would be a good time to do it, i'd love that, & love for ya to satin the blade too, if i do that and maybe get the thing kriened it might get some pocket time for sure, maybe give my '13 a rest.
thanks bud,.
