Does anyone know how CF holds up as a handle material? If it's dropped will it dent, chip, crack, ect? Will it wear from constant rubbing in a pocket? Is micarta more durable? Thanks.

The woven carbon fiber used on knife handles is a fairly durable material. It wo`nt wear from pocket carry but may suffer from small delaminations if dropped on an edge. These are easy to repair as cf is relatively soft and easy to sand.Just coat the repaired area with epoxy afterwards and you`re good to go.For a hard use knife,I think G-10 is superior but it lacks the class of a polished cf handle.I would say cf is comparable to micarta in durability.
