Carbon fiber handles?

I dealt with a fair amount of carbon fiber in my past life, and it always gave me the worst splinter once the edge of material starts to flair out. So I sworn I would never dealt with it again, unless I absolutely have to. But having said that, I did have a few knives with CF inlay or handle, but it only constitute a very small percentage of the collection.

I'm a sucker for carbon fiber. I liked my Native Chief before, but when I got the S90V/CF version I felt that is the way it should have been period. The CF just gives it that extra something, feels great, looks amazing. My Kapara has really beautiful CF, as well as my Magnitude.

I'm not against other materials. Micarta is pretty good, G10 is probably the best all around, and i don't mind the G10/CF laminate like on my Amalgam or GB2, or like on the Civivi Incite (layered, machined, looks amazing). Even FRN is fine if done well. If I have a choice though, most of the time I'll be choosing CF! Weave, marbled, doesn't matter it just looks cool and feels good, and is light and strong.

I have more carbon fiber than anything else. I have one G-10 knife as its the only I have that does not have custom scales available (Civivi McKenna).

2 with Micarta, two with wood, one with circuit boards, one full ti, 5 aluminum. Several are carbon fiber inlay, which is less handle "material" than an aesthetic feature, like my Kershaw Launch 8, ZT 0470.

I really like carbon fiber scales...
But I just picked up a knife with micarta, and REALLY like the feel of it
I'd hate to have to pick just one.!

I just realized that my ZT has titanium scales, and I see what you're saying!
