carbon fiber hollow pins

has anyone tried to use carbon fiber hollow pins for slab scales. i am thinking of trying this.i was going to use 2 all thread hidden pins and 2 exposed hollow carbon fiber pins.i was hoping someone had done this and could give tell me if it had worked or not or give me some advice on what to do or not to do using this material as pins. thanks brandon.
the knife has a full tang and the pins will be the leftovers of a dozen carbon arrows i just cut.if this helps at all
 
Carbon pins work great! I use a chopped up arrow like you are planning to. They blend in really well with a black handle. They are also easy to sand flush with the handle. I install them just like I do metal ones. Make sure you scuff up the outside so the epoxy adheres a little better.
