Carbon Fiber Insingo

I will. I've actually been on the lookout for more of them and I cannot find them to save my life. It's an inexpensive black ripstop nylon tri-fold with an external zipper coin compartment that measures approximately 5" by 4" closed. I bought three of them several years ago to use in my BoBs. I'd buy a dozen more for backups if I could ever find them.

The coin compartment is absolutely perfect for carrying knives with handles of 4" or less. In order to extract the knives easily, I use a lanyard that extends beyond the compartment opening. Closing the zipper holds the lanyard in place.

Extracting the knife is as easy as unzipping the compartment and pulling on the lanyard. And believe it or not, the wallet is only about 1" thick with a small Sebenza stored in the compartment.

I couldn't have created a better setup in my dreams!

Wow. I thought you were being facetious when you said you carried a Seb in your wallet! Now I am really looking forward to seeing a picture of this beast!

Small Sebenzas, William Henrys, Kershaw Leeks, a CRKT Eros, my Laconico Slim EDC, all fit perfectly in that coin compartment. It's really too cool for school. :D

PS: I decided to look around a little more to see if I could find a wallet similar to mine and I came across this:

It's the right size (5" by 4") and it has an external coin compartment. It's also available in black. The only question is whether the coin compartment is wide enough to accommodate a folder with a 4" handle. One nice feature is that the coin compartment is expandable. That would make it easier to extract the knife, especially if there's no way to attach a lanyard to it. I might just have to get one and try it out . . .

I waited quite a while for this combination and ended up frankenknifeing a small for myself. Glad to see them coming out of Boise this way, I'll have to treat myself to a Large one day.

I finally gave up waiting for the small CF insingo and purchased a plain one. I love my large CF, but I think I actually might appreciate the extra weight on the smaller knife.

Post a pic of that wallet--you must be going George Costanza with that thing!

Lol that's what I was thinking. No way I could fit a knife in my wallet. But I'm a bit more minimalist than others when it comes to wallets.

So a 5" x 4" x 1" wallet? That's pretty big. What is the weight on that thing?

Got my Large CF Insingo today. Really like it. I normally like the plain looks of the regular Sebenza but the blue, black and gray look awesome. I think the blade shape will be more suited for EDC tasks as well. Oh and the lanyard spacer is really cool. Matches the rest of the knife great. Quick question does anyone know the price to install double thumb lugs and do I have to ship the knife to CRK?

Sorry it took so long to post this and I'm not carrying my Small Sebenza today, but these pics should do the trick.

Now you see it:

Now you don't:

3.6 ounces without the knife, 7.0 ounces with this particular example. When I carry my CF Sebenza, the total weight drops to 5.9 ounces.

:)
