Hi folks,

I have a few available for sale today. All except for one of these are in 80crv2. I'm impressed with it's toughness, and I would sat that it has medium edge retention (better than 5160, worse than 1095). I spent a good portion of an afternoon beating on one of these, had a hard time damaging the tip or the edge without resorting to really abusive behavior (concrete and steel!) The burnt oil finish is relatively durable for an old fashioned finish, and helps prevent rust around the handle. Finish on the blades is a blue scotchbrite.

All of the knives are differentially heat treated, but trying to polish the 80crv2 out to reveal the hamon just isn't working. On the plus side, check out my recent 90 degree bend test of a very similar knife.. 80crv2 drop point bend test

All are razor sharp. Kydex sheaths can scratch knives, especially when they are in this level of finish. These are all carbon steel, and can rust if not maintained appropriately. I'm always happy to refinish a knife if it becomes an issue, so get out and use them, I'll fix 'em later if you want me to.

Shipping will be $10 per knife, and all payments will be via paypal. Please shoot me and email (powell.josh@gmail.com) or a PM and pick up one of these knives! If you like, you can follow me on facebook to keep updated with my latest work Grind Knives

#11 5160 karambit. $175 5/16" 5160. G10 scales and a leather sheath with large tek lok for a variety of carry options. The snap on the retention

is not quite perfect, it's got a slight slant to it, and it's a little punched out, but it holds perfectly, and does not remove from the aesthetic of the sheath. 4"

blade, 8 3/4" overall length. Because of the way that this hangs in your hand in a reverse grip, it feels like a lot more blade sticking out of your hand. Mounted with a

large tek lok.

where is the balance point on that kwaiken and what is the guard made from? Can the knife be dis-assembled easily?

Brummie, the balance on the kwaiken is about 1" in front of the guard. It is disassemblable, but I think that I am probably going to hit it with some epoxy before it finds a home just to make sure that it never develops a rattle.

Winger, the blade on #3 is 1/4", and the scales were a little bit more than 3/16" before I textured them.
