Carbon Fiber scale

I plan on finish sanding with a min. 600 grit but on the scrap pieces i have messed around with it gets very smooth but still seems to be lacking the shine i thought it would have do i need to add some sort of finish. any help app. thanks

Polish up to 1200 or 2k grit sandpaper then use metal polish on a buffer of some sort. You can get by using a polishing wheel on a dremel or rotary tool. Polish them with the metal polish for a little while and they will shine well. Then apply a paste wax (renaissance wax) and hand buff. Shiny!

make sure to where a mask or bettor yet a respirator. that dust will tear up your lungs.
