Hey guys im making a camp knife right now and the guy wants a carbon fiber handle. All i can find is 1/8 in thick. This is a big knife and i need at least 1/4 inch..any ideas? I need a source for this anyway its getting pretty popular around here all the sudden. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Luke

i would think you would be bettor off using micarta it would be more of a camp knife type of handle. its very durable and a lot cheeper. the black canvis micarta looks kinda like carbonfiber. also ther is g10 which is also simmiler to carbon fiber. but you need to remmember that when grinding or cutting or sanging the dust of both g10 and carbon fiber is very dangerous to breath. thats why i say use micarta.

I belive knife kits has some but its way way expensive about 120.00 bones, if you must just laminate two pieces of 1/8 to get your 1/4". Like the post above black G-10 textured and done up the right way can work as well.

Make sure you bead blast or rough up the two surface's

spencer
