Carbon steel Bear Knives

I received my new Smokey Mountain catalog over the weekend and notice that Bear & Son had a line of carbon steel slipjoint knives. I know that Bear is not held in as high of regard as Case but I wondered if anyone has looked at these or tried them out.

i have had a couple of bears and was disapointed in the fit and finish, but if they have carbon blades now i might give them another look...but i will check them out in person if i can.

well, I guess they would count as carbon, I have 2 of their trappers in damascus, a little older production(7 or 8 years IIRC) good fit & finish, and a spring I prefer to case, good snap but not a nail breaker.
