Which companies produce folders with 'carbon steel' blades? By 'carbon steel', I mean non-stainless. I am aware of Case, German Eye, Benchmade, EDI had a A2 version of Genesis, and some Old Timer's. Any others? I'm not considering ATS34 or 154 CM.

thanks

I will be doing a 10 piece run of 52100 forged edge quenched folders in my edc line soon. I will number them and thats all there will be 10..

I feel there is some folks that like carbon.
Plus I like to forge folder blades from time to time.

These are 2 of the CAMILLUS CELLULIOD series. They are limited to 1000 pcs per pattern-4 patterns availible. They are Abalone Celluliod, and all feature polished 1095 carbon steel blades. Kinda cute, aren't they?

Very nice Camillus. I'm interested in traditional pocketknives and folders, actually. By the way Will, I have a Companion. Incredible knife! Doubles a hatchet nicely!

I like the Schrade Old Timer knives alot. They just remind me of a simpler and better time. Not to mention they sharpen very easy and don't cost a fortune.

Besides the ones you mention, others who make traditional patterns with carbon steel blades are:

Kissing Crane
Remington (green & yellow handles)
Kabar
Buck Creek
Bulldog
Schrade
Mooremaker

I think some of the Winchester knives are also carbon steel.

I have a #72 whittler pocket knife by Camillus that has carbon steel blades. The finish is smooth, almost appears "stone-washed" but is not. Very sharp and strong "walk and talk."

I also have some old Ka-Bar pocketknives...a stockman and a barlow that I bought in the late 70's, polished finish blades.
