I made this one to appeal to your Eyes as well as being a Great working Chef knife.
The Spec's are;
Steel 1084. I hand Forge it to shape with distal taper blade, and full tang.
2000grit hand sanded blade.
Blade Height 2."
Blade max thickness 1/8"
Blade length to bolster 8 & 1/2"
Overall length 14."
416 Stainless Steel dovetailed Bolsters.
Desert Iron Wood handle with Mosaic pins.
Nicely Balanced and a Great fit and finish.
Razor Sharp!!!
Comes with a Zippered Case.
!!!!!Not Dishwasher Proof!!!!!!
I use vegetable oil on my blades after hand washing.

Dave, that is one fine looking chef's knife!!! To any one looking for a new kitchen/chef knife Dave makes them fine as can be, I have two of his kitchen knives and they feel great in the hand and are scary sharp!!! They also can take a roast and turn it into stew meat in no time!!!

that is probably the nicest kitchen knife i have ever seen!

seems almost a shame to cut things with it.
