Carbon steel reps.

I just got a super blue caly 3.5 yesterday and its a great knife. The best slicer Ive ever owned including kitchen knives. AFAIK, its a sprint and not a regular production knife though.

Its already developing a bit of a patina. Thought about trying a forced patina but decided to just let it come naturally.

PS - Im eating healthier too - more fresh fruit and vegetables than usual because I want to use the knife all the time. Sal should use the health benefits in the marketing literature. :)

The 1095 in my GEC Pioneer takes a very sharp edge very easily. Nice bite to it. After using for the day, just a few strokes per side on the strop, and it jumps hair right off.

Another one to try is the Scagel folder in 1095 from KSF. It's traditional look in a lockback and a fairly good sized folder IIRC.

thank you. thats the route i will head down now. so...would you suggest sodbuster or trapper? haha im just messin ill probably pick up both
Can't go wrong with either, but I'd recommend a trapper in Chestnut Bone. Classy!
(No, sir... I'm not biased... No, that's not a Chestnut Bone CV trapper in my pocket right now... No, certainly not... ;) )
