Does Camillus make any knives with carbon steel blades (as opposed to stainless?) I am interested in finding a good carbon steel bladed knife.

Matt, you might want to be a little more specific...
Yes, Camillus makes many different carbon steel knives.

They all have carbon steel, 0176C to be exact. One knife in just about all popular length for whatever job you might have. I highly recomend them. Great bang for the buck.

Cerberus.

I have a Camillus Trapper in carbon steel with tortoise shell celluloid scales. I think it may have been an A.G. Russell exclusive. It's a great knife.

Camillus also makes a series they call their "Carbon Series." You can find some of them on eknifeworks.com.

Guess it depends on what style of knife you are looking for. As said before, the Becker line is made from a carbon steel as well as the limited run of celluloid handle knives (tortoise shell & abalone). Also, all the military fixed blades are carbon. Again, the carbon series includes a small lockback, a trapper, and a stockman. So there is a great all-around selection.:)

I suppose I should have been more specific. I would like a small slipjoint folder in carbon steel for whittling and etc. but I would also like to find a more "modern" folding knife (locking, one hand, etc) in carbon steel.

I'll have to look for the "carbon series"

It is worth finding one of the carbon series slippies. I have the stockman and carry it often. It has 1095 carbon steel that takes a nice edge. The handles are delrin in a faux jigged bone look.... kinda sorta ugly, but you'll like this knife. I have several nicer stockmans, but find myself reaching for this one more often than not. I can't remember where I got it, but it cost around $18! Lots o' knife for little $. good luck on your search.

I found the place where I bought my carbon series Camillus stockman from: www.discountknives.com
the model number is CM-63 and the price is $18.13
go git yourself one or three, they are a really nice knife for the price.
Hope this helps,
Mongo
