I have returned (minus the cardboard sheath) from a visit to one of the caves used by the researcher. He was easy to spot with his cape and cowboy boots (this was all that he had on). I showed him the cardboard sheath and he was very impressed with its graceful form and topnotch workmanship. Many other people were in the cave and they also admired the cardboard sheath. Once people found out that the sheath was for sale, the bidding leaped into the high single digits. Ultimately, (after some blood was spilled on the floor of the cave) someone even stranger than the researcher bought the sheath (and contents) for almost as much money as it costs for a roll of first class postage stamps. That money (plus what I got for turning in deposit bottles)has been used to purchase my first HI from Uncle Bill.
