Carhartt clothing?

DULUTH TRADING COMPANY!!!! They make coats made out of fire-hose grade canvas.
These are as overbuilt as a Sebenza.
Sebbies aren't really overbuilt.

My father is a pipefitter/welder and has worn Carhartt exclusively for nearly his entire career. He works in boiler rooms doing fitting and welding. His pants all of slag burns on them, but the Carhartt's never get holes as best as I can tell. He has no holes in them, just shallow burns. They hold up way better than Dickies.

Got a Carhartt work coat parka that I have beat the hell out of in the past couple years. Good oil stain on the back (no idea how it got there), and it is like a furnace. Great coat.

I wear a Carhartt arctic lined vest and it is the warmest vest I have ever had. I also wear their brown duck overalls in the winter and like them better than any others that I have owned but have noticed that the quality has went down a little with the imported stuff. Hard to beat the quality of union labor.

I do not like buying Chinese made crap. Only problem is that most of the work gear we grew up with is now made over there. That includes most of our Redwing boots and our Carhartt coats. What most people do not know is that the machinery and materials are the exact same as they used to use over here (I have made many phone calls about this). There are generally US reps overseeing the operations too. I personally buy my work clothes from Duluth Trading. The quality is better than Carhartt, and the company stands by the lifetime guarantee. Boots, on the other hand, I still get from Redwing though. Only because they still have a few styles that offer narrow widths.

I just ordered another couple hundred dollars of Carhartt stuff, it makes up most of what I wear for work and hunting, which is most of what I do...

I've got dozens of pieces, shirts, pants, jeans, jackets, bibs, beanies... High quality for a reasonable price.

I refuse to buy Duluth stuff. It's 2011, put real pictures of your junk. The cheesy faux old catalogs piss me off.

I wear Carhartt just about every day, to work, for casual wear, for whatever.

For my body shape, and pocket needs, I have found the B07 Unwashed denim Logger Jeans and the B01 Unwashed Cotton Duck Logger Pants to be perfect....as in perfect. I tried the Duluth Firehose logger pant, and it is a good one, but doesn't have a watch pocket. I keep a small Spyderco and a key fob in that pocket....at work, this is not an option, it is a personal requirement.

I wear the K126 long sleeve pocket t-shirt in ash gray, everyday at work, it keeps fish guts off my arms, and the pocket is perfect....tried a Duluth long sleeve pocket-t...it is soft and fluffy, the cuffs work for shit and the pocket is too floppy, my cell phone fell out yesterday.....screw that!

Carhartt has my business as long as they keep doing what they do.....have depended on them for over 10 years, and they have never failed to satisfy.

I work in a scrapyard. I climb piles of aluminum siding. I get whipped by all kinds of thick insulated wire. I snag myself on all kinds of corners of sharp jagged metal. I had regular Wrangler cargo pants. Lasted one or two days before shredded. I got dickies now and they are still great after six months. My Carhartt jacket is 8 years old and perfect.

carhartt is quality. i bought a heavy zip up hoodie. super heavy lining even in the hood. its good till it gets in the lower 30's then it goes under the coat. price was just over 70 for the 4xt. my only gripe is the black faded after a few washes.. im guessing it sat in the store for a long time before i got it. love the big zipper you can operate with gloves too. its worth the money if you want something thats going to last for a long time.

Double front pants in about every color and variation possible, coats and vests. Hard wearing gear, The stuff just lasts for years. I don't bother buying anything else. I looked at Duluth but all I get are these flea market magazines from them on occasion, Still I hear good things about them too.

Got their "Artic" jacket and its held up amazing. All type of cold weather bon fires, a winter of doing tree work and then many years of much less frequent use. And it doesnt even have a scratch so to speak. If what you need is durable outter wear and your not worried about fancy waterproof tech fabrics or light weight I wouldnt hesitate to go this route

Couple things I forgot to mention....

The Carhartt tags easily cut off of garments, if you are careful, you will not be able to tell it was ever there.

I vastly prefer the B07 in unwashed denim to the stonewashed, the color will mellow out to a beautiful blue in about 3 washings, and will hold the color longer. Unfortunately this item is only available with bachelor buttons, eliminating comfortable wear of a belt. I cut these off with a set of bolt cutters, and super glue the holes to keep them from fraying. Little bit of work, very much worth it.

I live in Australia but we don't have anything to compare to Carhartt. Sooo, I import all my work clothes from the USA via Sierra Trading Post and most of it is Carhartt. I love the stuff. We have a saying downunder. "Any tougher and they would rust".
